Tom was great to work with. He was in contact with us through the whole listing, selling and closing of home. He did a great job of providing insight, knowledge of the area and market. He was supportive during the whole process. Although we reluctantly had to drop the original asking price, we’re glad we did as the home within one day doing that. Would recommend Tom to others looking to purchase or sell a home. Also, we are looking to move out of MN, and when asked, Tom eagerly and confidently shared a friend in the business in the area we are looking. It was a great recommendation! We were able meet up this new person in our new desired location.

Tom is a great guy and has a great process for real estate in the Cottage Grove area. The family has been in the business for a very long time and they know the market very well. First time homebuyers or seasoned investors Tom is your man.

With a tight timeline to close on the home in time, Tom kept the process moving and we successfully closed on schedule. Tom was very helpful with his knowledge of septic systems and wells, which we had never had before. I highly recommend anyone looking to sell or buy a house to work with Tom Ott!

Tom, was very helpful with the sale of the house, went on the market one day sold the next. We had a few issues with the buyer, Tom got on the issues right away and fixed them. He got back to me right away when I left phone messages, and made a difficult closing look easy.

I was looking on zillow as I often did, dreaming of having our own house and no longer renting. I messaged the realtor for a house listed. Tom called me shortly after. I had no idea what I was doing, he was patient and answered my many questions. He directed me to a broker he works with often in order to start taking the steps needed for preapproval. This was the summer of 2015. I had to touch up my husband's credit a bit and the broker was very helpful in guiding me with that over the next few months. We were preapproved early in 2016. Every house online we even had a slight interest seemed to have accepted offers/ pending sale. Tom immediately had an available house to show us and we LOVED it. I am writing this review sitting in the living room, we closed June of 2016. Beginning to end Tom was wonderful, and very thoughtful afterwards even to stop with a house warming gift and later mailing a Christmas card. I am very grateful that the first person I came across in our home buying process was Tom Ott.
